For this activity, I’ve continued with the theme of xAPI and looked at introducing Learning Record Stores.
Goal: To provide learners with a basic understanding of a Learning Record Store
Objective: On completion of the video, the learner will have a better understanding of what a Learning Record Stores function and purpose is and be able to continue their research into adopting a Learning Record Store
I developed the outline of the video using the following storyboard:
I used Articulate Storyboard 360 to build the video. Screen cast was done using ApowerSoft Screen record on a MacBook Air. I recorded the voice over script separately, and then added it to the Storyline project.
The video was published and uploaded to YouTube where I applied the auto captioning. I found it easier to download the sbv file and edit in a text editor and then upload against the video. I could then adjust the times as required to reflect the narration in the video.
Download the caption file below.
I did find this process very tricky, but am happy with the result. I learnt a a lot during this activity!
Rationale
Following on from the previous video, I used Articulate Storyboard 360 to build publish the video. Screen cast was done using ApowerSoft Screen record on a MacBook Air to record the screen. The tools used based on familiarization and expirence.
